BRISBANE CROSS RIVER RAIL

HELPING TO FIX THE CONGESTION ON BRISBANE CITY RAIL NETWORK

The Cross River Rail project, now under construction, is Queensland’s highest priority infrastructure investment. It will provide the network capacity required to allow more trains to run more often and support further network growth projects transforming connectivity across Queensland’s southeast region and unlocking the network for future growth.

Pascall+Watson collaborated with HASSELL to design and deliver a new underground station at Boggo Road and redevelop the existing Dutton Park surface station, as part of the $5.4bn

Boggo Road Station takes train passengers underground to improve community connections at street level. It will serve passengers in the south, students accessing the University of Queensland and visitors to Princess Alexandra Hospital. By 2036, the new Boggo Road station is expected to serve about 22,000 commuters a day during weekdays. Dutton Park Station will benefit from platform and accessibility upgrades as well as a new pedestrian connection aimed to improve access and functionality.
