A LEGACY OF INNOVATION AND EXCELLENCE

Pascall+Watson’s journey began with our very first project in 1957: an aircraft maintenance hangar at Gatwick Airport. This project marks a significant milestone in our history, setting the foundation for our evolution into one of the world’s leading aviation architects.

Since that inaugural project, we have maintained a strong and continuous partnership with Gatwick Airport, progressively transforming and modernizing its estate. Our extensive work spans both the North and South Terminals, as well as numerous ancillary and support buildings. These projects have varied in size and complexity, ranging from small-scale feasibility studies to major extensions and reconfigurations.

Our deep knowledge and experience in working within live operational environments have been crucial to the successful delivery of projects across the airport campus. We understand that any disruption to passenger flows or aircraft movements can negatively impact both the customer experience and commercial revenues.

We remain actively involved in Gatwick Airport’s ongoing £1 billion investment program, aimed at increasing capacity to 45 million passengers per annum. Recently, we provided architectural services for the reconfiguration of Pier 5 and the redevelopment of Pier 6.

Our design efforts focus on modular construction solutions for new extensions, exploring ways to reduce construction costs, shorten program lengths, and minimize on-site
construction.
